  On Wednesday, May 2, 2018 the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Emergency Response Unit (ERU) was notified by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (Mass DEP) of a sewer main break in Dalton, Massachusetts that is impacting the Housatonic River.

• 5/18/2018 DEEP Update on State Park Closures

  The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) State Parks Division continues to clean up damage to the Connecticut State Parks that were most impacted by Tuesday’s storm.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that Charles Island in Milford and Duck Island in Westbrook will be closed to the public from now through September 9, 2018, to prevent disturbances to nesting birds.
